This site is now essentially an archive. If you explore, you’ll see I haven’t updated in years.
Here’s what I am up to today:
Writer

I’m the author of the Alone Rangers newsletter, which explores the emotional complexities of modern life, connection, masculinity, and authentic leadership. This started as a very personal project a few years ago, but has grown over time.
In 2025, I’m especially focusing on what it means to be a good human. Late in 2024, I wrote a series of articles on LinkedIn on the qualities I believe are crucial for a good leader. It’s a topic I ponder at length. Like everyone, I have moments of impostor syndrome and others where I feel confident in my leadership and decision-making. I even produced my first infographic – using Canva (to the faux dismay of my graphic design professional friends).
This year, I am writing a series of articles for this Substack, taking the ideas I explored in my professional setting and translating them to my understanding of how they relate and connect to our core personality and place in the world. I’m especially interested in and focused on how embracing these qualities ensures we are responsible, caring, and respectful humans with our loved ones, friends, and communities.
Startup Mentor & Advisor
In May 2025, I finished full-time work at EdSmart, the company I co-founded in 2014. Along with my co-founder, I am still a major shareholder, company director and advisor, and committed to the long-term success of the business.
EdSmart is one of Australia’s leading SaaS platforms for school administration and communications. Today, it serves more than 1,400 schools and over one million educators, students, and parents, streamlining processes and strengthening engagement across the education sector.
Today, I am taking on some mentoring and advisory work with various businesses. I’m absolutely open to offers where someone might see value in tapping into my skills and experience across technology, SAAS, EdTech, strategy and the business world.
